Broke

By: Jules Fred C. Batisla-ong

Can’t afford a cab
Carrying the weight of a slab
Can’t afford a meal
Victimized from uncertain deal

Can’t afford a call
Just to see you down the hall
Can’t afford a meal
You don’t care anymore for what I feel

Can’t afford to dress up
So when you see me walking you’ll stop
Can’t afford a meal
Thinking that this suffering is unreal

Can’t afford you anymore
I wasted it all so now what for?
Can’t afford to treat you a meal
Sometimes sacrifices can trully kill
